Signed on the bottom "Made by Capt. Harry Jobes."
The original owner purchased this life-size decoy in 1997 from Harry Jobes. He
wanted the decoy to sit flat on a shelf so he removed the keel weights and
touched up the area where the keel weight was. Other than that minor
repair, the condition of the decoy is excellent.
When this decoy was first made there were
at least three knots in the wood. These knots have not dried out at the
same rate as the rest of the decoy and have created bulges in the paint.
A small one is in the left speculum, the two larger ones are on the bottom
of the decoy.
