JOHN SHARP
(1944 - )

John T. Sharp was born in Ohio and studied architecture and industrial design at Kent State University. He became a full-time sculptor in 1982 after almost twenty years in industrial woodworking. Sharp received no formal art training; his work is instead the result of lifelong interests in the outdoors and in hunting and fishing. He began carving miniature fish and bird forms in 1970, advancing to life-size sculptures a few years later.
